Setting the Time/Date Stamp on the VR80 Flash Drive Voice Recorder

The VR80 Flash Drive Audio Recorder has the ability for you to set the time/date stamp (PC only) so that you know exactly when your audio files are recorded.

The VR80 comes with the time setting executable file preloaded onto the device.

To access it, plug the flash drive recorder into your PC's USB port, and then browse to the SetTime folder:

(Note: There is also a SetTime.RAR file in the main directory. This is a backup copy of the SetTime exe file in case you accidentally delete the main one).

Open the SetTime folder, and double click on the SetTime.exe file, and you'll see the following dialog box:
The device will sync the current time on your PC to the voice recorder.

Then click the OK button to complete the time set process. The time has now been set on your recorder.

The time is programmed to the firmware inside the voice recorder so you should not have to set it again, however if you reset the device or change timezones, you can simply run the SetTime.exe file again to sync the time on the device.

That's all there is to it! If you delete the time setting file, you can download it again at the link below under "Attachments", then extract it and run it.
